Richardson Cup
This is awarded to the winners of the Sheffield Chess Association knock-out competition. The competition was specifically designed to give minor clubs an opportunity to play matches against major clubs.
Chesterfield Chess Club joined the Sheffield Chess Association in 1946.The Club won the Richardson Cup in the following years:
1947, 1948, 1949, 1951, 1958, 1982, 1983, 1987, 2005, 2008 and 2018
